The City of Brighton Art, Culture and History (CoBACH) Center will offer a unique American Flag educational experience on Sunday, June 9. There will be multiple presentations during the peri-od from 11am through 4pm and the doors will remain open through 5 pm. This program is sponsored by The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Gilluly/Kingsley Camp #120, Howell, Michigan.
Short informal (45) minute presentations including flag educational exhibits will cycle from 11am through 4pm. The program will explore the unique evolution and symbolism of American flags, including laws, design, construction, artistry, and folklore with occasional trivia questions. Each presentation will feature historic flags from the Civil War through World War II.
The goal of the sponsor is for community members to discover and learn about our flag’s history because they believe it’s past is worth preserving. After each presentation children will receive several take home educational, flag oriented meeting gifts as supplies last.
Please bring your children so they can learn our flag’s history!

Everybody loves a great deal! In fact these incredible prices for classic used jewelry might be called a steal.
You will not want to miss this major 2025 fundraiser for the Brighton Area Historical Society this spring. The City of Brighton Arts, Culture and History (CoBACH) Center will have the entire first floor exhibit area transformed into a huge used jewelry sale. All jewelry is donated and 100% of sales will be used for programming, operations and for preservation of our Brighton area history.
The Vintage Used Jewelry Sale will transform the CoBACH Center from April 25 through May 3. You will find great deals on all types of jewelry. Rings, necklaces, watches, earrings, pins, and bracelets for all types of upcoming special events like graduations, proms, and birthdays.
Please save the dates and bring your friends to downtown Brighton. The CoBACH Center is located adjacent to the Millpond at 202 W Main Street.
