More Silhouettes Return to Downtown!

During a visit to the downtown Millpond area, visit the (15) Brighton Victorian Silhouettes. These life-size, two dimensional, color figures was a joint project of the Brighton Area Historical Society and the Brighton Art Guild in 2017 for Brighton’s 150th Anniversary. Each historical figure from Brighton’s past has an attached biography board telling you the actual interesting story of those (13) people and (2) animals.
The last (5) were recently installed on August 19. This installation was delayed several months due the needed reworking on the steel support frames.

Bring the kids and grandkids and have a fun time visiting these people and animals from Brighton’s past. The two animals have an interesting story and are found in the Old Village Cemetery, adjacent to the Millpond. Visit the CoBACH Center and pick up a map showing the silhouette locations in the downtown area. Four silhouettes are now found in new locations from previous years.

Enjoy the reconfigured Millpond Park area. The new smooth concrete sidewalks are a joy for seniors, children, and actually everyone. Complete your fun visit by enjoying a tasty, cool, and refreshing treat at one of the nearby ice cream or custard shops!

CoBACH hours: Tue-Fri, 5-8pm, Sat, 11-5pm, Sun, 2-5 pm, Mon-closed.
